Alright everyone! The EternaL Gaming network shop is open for business. We still only sell the t-shirt in a limit stock but we currently ship to the US and Canada.
The shop features the item on the front page, as well as size options, an add to cart, and a view cart button. Don’t forget the sleek “View Details” link which brings up a very nice looking lightbox for additional information and notes such as limited stock
Shirt order take 2-3 business days to be shipped and 2-7 business days to be delivered. Shirts cost $15 USD or whatever the equivalent in your respective currency. Shipping is $6.95 US or your equivalent amount of currency. All conversions are done through paypal and will tell your total. I only ship to the US and Canada for right now.
Next image is the lightbox details page with the front page of the shop. It (obviously) shows all the shirt details. What I hope to do is have it show the quantity I have left for shirts and possibly how many shirt of each size left. But that’s hard to monitor. We’ll have to see how it goes.

Geek.Kon was a convention the ELGN staffers Shawn, Jacob, and Derek all went to and had a shit-ton of fun at! Each staffer did different things at the con and each had their own fun. Descriptions of each below.
Shawn spent all of his time in the LAN room doing a lot of… well LAN gaming and some uber pwnage. :]
Jacob was primarily in the LAN room aswell, but he also went everywhere else. At times, he went to the Vendor rooms, always finding some way to come back with a box of Pocky or two… “The game room was amazing. The video game room, mind you,. Not the board game – Didn’t make it there. Lots of classic games. Legend of Zelda, probably one of each game was there, and I actually made the Brawl tourney start, or at least helped it get up. I was owning so hard, people wanted to see more! Lawl… xD” He also was in the musical games room a few times playing DDR, and a 9-button slap melody game. Very challenging and hard to get used to.
Derek was busy running the Bemani (Rhythm Video Games) room and volunteering. At one point he had to clean up after a guy who played DDR too much and threw up (luckily it was in a trash can). He also spent a little bit of time in the vendor room, and overall was everywhere at one point or another. Overall still had a blast even though he was dead tired after it all. Interestingly enough the staff enjoyed his work and might even make him a staffer even though he’s under 18 (pending the whole group’s decisions).
The only sad thing about Geek.Kon was that ELGN had a bit of trouble selling shirts, in which case, we didn’t even sell one. The main problem was that we couldn’t advertise our shirts outside of… well, our advertisement. We couldn’t advertise in the rooms or anything. Next year we’re definately getting a vendor table to sell our material.
I’ll say though… The LAN room was awesome! It was filled with carnage from old games. Unreal Tournament, Halo, etc. Had some newer gen games as well like Battlefield 2, Team Fortress 2, etc.
The three of us created this blog post via Google Wave and had a fun, new experience doing so.

Yes, you read that correctly! Our shirts are now in-stock. Wanna see what it looks like on a real person? No problem. Shawn took the liberty of wearing his Staff edition shirt and it’ll be posted online here for all to see.
Keep in mind that the shirts bought by our fans/customers/etc will not have the “ELGN STAFF” on the back like the shirt Shawn here is wearing.

Shirt Details:
- The two colors of White and Orange print on a black t-shirt.
- ELGN Name printed on shirt.
- ELGN URL printed on shirt.
So if haven’t read past blog posts and you’re wondering about the question “Sweet! They look awesome! Wait, how much are they?”, they’re just $15 US and $16.50 or so in Canada. That does NOT include shipping costs. Count on shipping being $5-7 depending on your location. It’s safe to say the bill is probably $23.50 max, but no guarantees on that. We’re working on the online store, so please check back soon for an update on that.

So there was a little mix up at the shirt press with Stan (GETBENT Press Screen Printer). GETBENT didn’t receive my email for ordering all the shirt sizes. I called last Friday (Oct 9th) and he told me the whole story. So now he and myself are back on track with that. Shirt were ordered the same night on the 9th. Shirts are (Supposedly) in print starting Monday, Oct 12th. And shirts are supposed to be done by the end of the week on Friday, Oct 16th.
So shirts are coming along well and are nearing completion. Our adertisement is complete and mailed in, along with all cash needed to host the ad. All left now is our website.
So Eric and I took too long to get the ad done, so I did it last minute, but it look pretty good for my capabilities. And now we fell behind on work for the site to where a flash website isn’t achievable… Not at this time at least. So he’ll be doing a clean cut and stylish HTML site for now until after Geek.Kon when we can begin collaboration with the flash site.
I’ll create a five minute website that looks nicer than what I’ve got up there for now until Eric is done with the new temporary site.

So we’ve complete our Geek.Kon advertisement. We had some trouble at first as our main artist hadn’t been available at all times and when it came down to the deadline, we had to have someone else do it, specifically Shawn. Read more ›
The Shirt
So the EternaL Gaming Network is getting to the merchandise stage, at least as far as going to and showing them off at the Geek.Kon Convention goes. ELGN staff Derek, Jacob, and Myself will all be sporting these shirts. Hell since we’re advertising, if people are interested in buying some, we can sure as hell do that too. As I was already planning on it.
The shirt features our Merchandise specific logo which was designed by a good friend I like to consider my graphic designer. Credits definitely go to Eric McFadden for the creation of the logo.
Merch Logo
The logo is a mix between two images that I simply overlapped one of the other. I had asked a number of people to choose between or or the other. Most picked the first option, which was the “EternaL Gaming Network” portion with the “elgngaming.net” part. The second logo was the “elgngaming.net” right where the “EternaL Gaming Network is located. This image was created when someone other than myself said that people won’t know how to get to the site (Most people say “Just Google it”. People can’t only because there is another network with the same name. The evasion of legal matter was achieved when we capitalized the “L”).
For those of you interested in buying a shirt like the one above, please email shawn[at]elgngaming.net with how many you wish to (possibly) buy, and the shirts sizes. I say possibly because I’m only ordering a limited amount. Shirts will $15 each. Price increases with shirts XXL and larger.

Guess what everyone! The EternaL Gaming Network has reached it’s goal of $100 for the advertisement! The last $40 was given (as a whole) by Chris Mooney [Site][Twitter].
I’m honestly touched by Chris’s generosity, as with all the other donators too. I have yet to meet any of them in person (Besides myself of course), and yet they’ll gladly help to support the likes of ELGN.
Chris did donate by request however, as I went to him, asking him if he would, or if he know anyone who would like to donate. I don’t like specifically asking people, however we were getting close to the deadline, and we need that ad as a huge way to get our name out there.
All the people to donate, were as follows:
- Shawn Boyle – $15
- Tyler Lloyd – $35
- Liora Naor – $10
- Chris Mooney – $40
If you want your name revealed, please let me know, I don’t want to just disclose random names if you don’t already really do so often.
All I’ve got to do now, it transfer the donations to my bank account, that will be done by Monday or so. From there, I can go to the bank, withdraw the cash, put it in an envelope, and send it off to Geek.Kon. I can email them the advertisement artwork and our ad will be all placed in time for the event (Oct 23rd-25th).

EternaL Gaming Network got another donation today! The contribution was made by my friend Liora. Thank you Liora for the donation! We’re now $10 closer to our goal of $100 with $60 total.
Just 13 more days until our deadline to get $40 more. Hope we can make it!
The EternaL Gaming Network is halfway to getting their advertisement! $50 of $100
If you can make a contribution, we need all donations in by August 16th!
To donate, go to http://elgngaming.net/?page=donate to help out. We appreciate the help from those who have already donated, so thank you all once again!

So the EternaL Gamin Network needs a new skin, unique to ELGN, and ELGN only. That’s why my friend Eric (Bear) and myself (Shawn) are going to team together and redesign it ourselves!
Eric is very talented in anything design, whether it be Photoshop, flash, HTML, CSS, etc. You new it, he can do it. He’ll do all the dirty work conerning our new logo, the actual design, and color scheme, along with the help of Shawn.
Shawn will do all the dirty work, as far as implementing the new design goes, into all the pages, and the forums. And even possibly the new ELGN blog I’ll host up soon. Shawn is skilled in PHP, and can edit the homepage, the forums, to have the new skin so the entire site as a whole, looks similar to any other page.
